On this page I will endeavour to explain terms that I have used in my theses and on this website. There are many words and terminology that I have used, some of which have “official” definitions and some which I have given my own explanation as to what they mean to me.
Energy Independence:
A definition of Energy Independence can be “The ability of a nation or a person to have the energy needed to be able to live a normal accustomed lifestyle without being dependent on another nation or person to provide this energy” See Page 19 section 1.3.3 of my Thesis
Energy Security:
This research defines Energy Security as “The ability of a nation or a person to procure the raw materials to generate enough energy to be able to keep themselves in their accustomed lifestyle”. See Page 19 section 1.3.3 of my Thesis
